A long year after we first started planning this project, the time has finally come : here we go!

En revanche, revenir sur le commencement de ce projet me parait être plus approprié. 23 ans c’est rien et en même temps le début de tout et pour moi le début a commencé au mois de Janvier 2017 après un ras le bol de tout. Mais je n’étais pas seule heureusement ! Je l’ai regardé, elle m’a regardé, et on s’est dit : vas y, on le fait vraiment. Bref, c’est avec notre Lise nationale que j’ai décidé de partir. J’attends de nombreuses choses de ce voyage mais surtout d’être enfin bilingue ! Alors c’est plein de stress (pour changer) et avec une valise de 15kg que je plonge la tête la première dans cette aventure. Dernier contrôle logistique et technique, car oui ce sera mon rôle pendant un an, et c’est parti, nous contre le reste du monde.

Where to begin?
Telling you about our final moments in France? No, that would be too annoying and sad. However, going back to how this all started seems appropriate.
Being 23 years old seems like nothing while also feeling like it's the beginning of everything. For me, it all started in January 2017, when I got tired of everything and wanted a change. Luckily, I wasn't the only one! I looked at her, she looked at me and we said to each other :"let's do it!". So, it's with our very own Lise that I decided to do this trip. I'm expecting a lot from our travels but mainly to finally become bilingual! It's full of anxiety and with a 15kg suitcase that I'm diving head first into this adventure. One final logistics check-up (because, yes, I'll be the one in charge of logistics during this year-long adventure) and off we go. It's us against the world.

Après 5 années d'études ininterrompues, diagnostic fatal : syndrome de la bougeotte aiguë. J'ai pourtant essayé durant tout ce temps de lutter contre ce fléau en partant dès que possible, quelques jours, quelques semaines, près de chez moi ou à l'autre bout du monde. Alors aujourd'hui, le diplôme est en poche et les possibilités sont illimitées. Ce voyage s'est imposé à moi comme une évidence et je dois admettre qu'avoir tes frères ou ton meilleur ami vivant à des milliers de kilomètres, ça donne envie de passer dire bonjour.Peut-être aussi avais-je besoin de me fixer un nouvel objectif personnel, un challenge à relever et surtout de sortir de ma zone de confort. Mon rôle pendant ce voyage, après des négociations rudement menées avec ma compère d'aventure, semble finalement évident : Présidente Directrice Générale du rire et de l'animation. Elle ne risque pas de s'ennuyer...
After 5 uninterrupted years of studying, the diagnosis is fatal : I've got a serious case of traveller's syndrome.During all this time I tried to fight this terrible illness by travelling as much as possible, for a few days, a few weeks, close to home or to the other side of the world. Now that I've graduated from my Masters the possibilities are endless. The idea of the trip came to me very naturally and I have to admit that having my brothers and my best friend living thousands of kilometers away made me want to go and say hi! Maybe I also felt the need to set myself a challenge and to get out of my comfort zone. After some serious negotiations with my travelling companion, it became obvious that my job during this adventure will be Chief Executive Officer of laughter and entertainment. There's no chance she'll ever get bored!
